Welcome!
Photography is about what does not meet the eye.
Framing, exposure, depth of field, angle of view, focal length, and the very subject – are intimate presentations of reality as seen by the photographer. The photographer sifts the vision through his soul, separating pearls from the surrounding empty shells, and then gives paper life to his vision. He does so according to his understanding of what is a pearl and what is a wrapper. A photographer sees what no other person sees, not even another photographer. His vision is entirely unique and it does not meet the eye of anyone else.

Our goal-driven Master Classes focus on two subjects only:
- Developing the eye and the ability to see what no other human sees: finding the unique in the mundane, discovering the eternal motifs in the daily tapestry of life, constructing paradoxes and resolving them.
- Honing the craft of making the photographs match the vision: post processing that supports the story, emphasizing the essence while downplaying the interfering elements.
Plato Photo Academy nurtures the artistic freedom of utter self expression through photography and develops the necessary technical skills.

Art deserves to be seen. To this end, there's always a Call for Entries. Answer the call and answer the calling! Perhaps you'll be the one to stand proudly in front of your art on the opening night, welcoming friends and strangers at the gallery reception.
Art and life, life and art — is a difference between the two? Is perfection a dream? Is a masterpiece — reality? The aim of Musings is not to answer these questions, but to consider them. This section, as most others, is continually updated — visit often!
